Angela Anderson is an artist from Russellville, Arkansas, USA. She grew up in Palm Springs, California and moved to Arkansas in 1991 after graduating college with an Honors Art Degree from Arizona Western College in Yuma.
Angela does original acrylic paintings, murals and custom artwork. She also teaches private art lessons.
Angela's artwork is represented by galleries and collected by businesses and patrons from across the US. Recently, she was selected for inclusion in the 2009 Arkansas Artist Calendar published by the Governor's Mansion Association, and one of her paintings now hangs in the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute in Little Rock, AR.
She and her husband, Mark, have three boys, two cats and a dog.

I decided early on that I wanted to be an artist. I sold my first "portrait" for a quarter when I was in middle school and was hooked! The subjects of my artwork have changed over the years, but I still get a thrill from the magic of creating something beautiful out of a blank page or canvas. I find myself drawn to bright colors and interesting lines, shapes and patterns in everyday life. My inspiration often comes from nature, but recently I have been enjoying the juxtaposition of adding a touch of something man-made (like book pages or a wallpaper pattern). I want my paintings to be more than just pretty artwork. I want them to make the viewer feel something. Peace in a crazy world. Joy of discovery. Warmth and wonder. The love of our creator. My artwork has become such a part of me that I can't imagine my life without it. Without art as an outlet for my creative energy I think I would go a little batty (although a little crazy never hurts an artist)! So I am eternally grateful for the friends of my childhood that saw my talent and encouraged me to follow my dream.
